Welcome to British School Quito. We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Early Years to join our school in August 2024.

Head of Early Years

We are seeking an experienced and exceptional practitioner with previous leadership experience to join our team in Quito.  You should share our passion for high expectations, but also demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to Early Years education that achieves both outstanding results and happy children.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of previous  educational leadership experience across an early Years setting, preferably with experience in British style international schools.

The role is due to start from August 2024 and will continue the excellent leadership of our Early Years school.  This is a perfect opportunity to experience all the natural and cultural wonders of Latin and South America, alongside the opportunity to shape the delivery of international education at a high-quality education establishment.  If you are seeking a role in a school which is warm, welcoming and with a determined ambition to achieve its goals, you are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the person

You should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with all of the school’s stakeholders.  The ideal candidate for this exciting and challenging role will be able to demonstrate:

  • UK-based teaching qualifications and experience.
  • A proven track record of achievement in primary leadership.
  • Previous experience of working in a British international school environment -  outside the UK in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion and a drive for excellence and developing teachers so that they deliver quality teaching and learning experiences for their students.
