ABOUT THE SCHOOL

VISION AND MISSION
The International School of Lubumbashi is committed to offer a world class innovative, creative and STEAM education to our students and prepare them to lead and impact our society. Our mission is to cultivate excellence through entrepreneurship and applied sciences and encouraging them to take a decisive step forward through our core values (discipline, work and integrity).

ACADEMIC AND CURRICULUM
The curriculum will be a bilingual program based on STEAM and entrepreneurship. With the aim of preparing our students for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. CAMPUS Facilities and Premises The International School of Lubumbashi is still under construction and will be completed in April. The school consists of one building on two levels and is planned to have: 40 classrooms, a cafeteria, an auditorium, multi-purpose labs, an innovative center lab, a multi-sport court (soccer, basketball), a volleyball field, administrative offices, a Nurse’s office. We additionally have a senior lounge area, a swimming pool and a playground for the younger students.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in the leadership, administration and supervision of a charter or high school;
• Knowledge of and commitment to a college preparatory environment;
• Thorough knowledge of the charter schools strategic plan goal and objectives for student outcomes;
• Thorough knowledge of prescribed board policies and procedures;
• Thorough knowledge of the framework for curriculum and learning plans;
• Thorough knowledge of a balanced assessment system;
• Skills in oral and written communications;
• Ability to motivate others to reach their fullest potential;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, students, parents, teachers, support staff and associates;
• Experience in IB program will be and speaking French and English will be an advantage.
